Satisfy your seasonal cravings with this Homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer, easily made on the stovetop in less than 30 minutes.

  • Total Time25 minutes
  • Yield1 1/4 cups 1x
  • DietVegetarian

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup 2% or whole fat milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 heavy tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 to 1 tablespoon maple syrup, depending on your preferred sweetness
  • 1/2 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • (optional) 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt or kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Mix: Add all the ingredients (1/2 cup 2% or whole fat milk, 1/2 cup heavy cream, 2 heavy tablespoons pumpkin puree, 1/2 to 1 tablespoon maple syrup, 1/2 tablespoon pure vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt or kosher salt) to a medium saucepan. Whisk gently to dissolve the pumpkin puree.
  2. Simmer: Set the pan over medium-low heat, and gradually bring it up to a low simmer, while whisking occasionally. After a brief low simmer, turn off the heat and move the pan off the hot stove.
  3. Infuse: Put the lid on and allow the creamer to infuse with the cinnamon stick as it cools to room temperature. Stir a couple times as it cools to avoid a milk film on top. If one does start to form, just stir until it dissolves back into the mixture.
  4. Chill & store: After 15-20 minutes, remove the cinnamon sticks before transferring to a mason jar or liquid storage bottle with lid and chilling in the fridge. Shake well before use, as the natural ingredients will settle at the bottom of the jar. Enjoy within 7 days.
